FAQ

If my machine needs a repair will you do it at my appointment?

Simple repairs like replacing a needle threader can likely be done same day depending on inventory, however most other repairs require an assessment for parts that will need to be ordered and installed during a subsequent visit.

If my machine needs parts replaced will you order them?

I do have the ability to order parts for most domestic machines. Most industrial customers need to order their own parts direct from the machine manufacturer but I will review the parts list per your machine and tell you exactly what to order.

How long will it take for my parts to arrive?

Parts can take as little as 1 week to arrive and as long as 6 months if it is on backorder. In most cases expect 2-3 weeks for parts to be delivered.

You just fixed/serviced my machine and now it is not sewing. What do I do?

Of course I am available for troubleshooting via phone/text or video call but here is a list of things you can try before picking up the phone.

-Completely rethread the machine including the bobbin.

-Change your needle.

-Make sure your presser foot is down before sewing and up while threading.

-Check to see if your bobbin winder is engaged.

-Make sure your embroidery hoop is snapped in properly.

-Look at your thread path and check for snags or loose thread wrapped around the uptake lever.

-If your needle threader isnt working, use the hand wheel to guide the needle to the upmost position before trying again.
